Who We Are

Team 6120: The CyberStangs are a FIRST Robotics Competition team out of Merritt Academy in New Haven, Michigan.

The team was founded in 2016 by Head Mentor John Barber, who taught at Merritt. Now, at the start of the 2026 season, the team has 12 student members in grades 8-12 from various schools in Macomb County and 6 mentors hailing from various professions in STEM related industries.

Drive: “Swerve” Drive - SDS MK4i & Kraken Motors

Capabilities: Level one (rung one) climb, able to go under trench and over bump, hold up to 40 fuel, shoot fuel into the hub from any angle and distance in the alliance area.
